Synopsis: Every Brilliant Thing is a play by Duncan Macmillan and Jonny Donahoe about a child who starts a list of "everything brilliant about the world" to help their mother cope with depression after a suicide attempt, a list that grows and becomes a lifelong coping mechanism for the narrator as they navigate their own life and their mother's struggles. The show is known for its unique, interactive format, often performed with one actor and audience participation, and is praised for being both hilarious and poignant, dealing with serious themes like depression and suicide with honesty and hope.
