ABOUT WINTERFEST
Family-friendly fun takes over downtown Bath all day long during Winterfest 2026, happening on Saturday, February 21. Bath’s Winterfest activities include community meals, ice carving, games, local business specials – and the Lantern Parade! It’s a truly magical event in celebration of community, creativity, and light during the darkness of winter. The Chocolate Church Arts Center is thrilled to collaborate again for the third year with Main Street Bath to produce drop-in lantern-making in the Chocolate Church Art Lab from 11am-2pm, the Winterfest Lantern Parade at 5pm, and a Main Stage concert to cap off the evening. DETAILS BELOW!
Make a Lantern • 11am-2pm
During Winterfest on Saturday, February 21, from 11am to 2pm, all are welcome to drop by the Chocolate Church Arts Center Art Lab for a free lantern-making workshop. Free art supplies and staff facilitators will be on hand to help!
Join the Lantern Parade • 5pm
At 5pm, gather with us downtown for the Lantern Parade led by a friendly Yeti! We’ll meet at 5pm in the Ancorum Credit Union parking lot (765 Washington St) in downtown Bath, and then process through town with our lanterns aglow. The parade ends at the Chocolate Church Arts Center for the grand finale, featuring complimentary hot cider, concessions, and a concert.
Popcorn, Cider, and Concert by The Huddled Masses Orchestra • Right after the Parade ~5:30PM • Main Stage
Right after the Lantern Parade, warm up and celebrate in the Chocolate Church Main Stage space with free hot cider, popcorn, and a concert by The Huddled Masses Orchestra, a thrillingly energetic, 14-member, Balkan-style brass band out of Waldo County, Maine.
No advance registration or tickets required.
